I recorded all of the presentations during the 2012 Eagle Symposium at the Norfolk Botanical Garden, held May 4-6, 2012.

The first part on Friday evening was Dr Bryan Watts' presentation: "Eagles of the Chesapeake: An ecological portrait." It is broken down into five parts:
Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usu_kGxAZT0 (11:28)
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XceXyDNHnO0 (16:15)
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuJ9zcbxyz4 (15:21)
Part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfH5QMeyEyM (14:40)
Part 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iNedbtsjw8 (13:29)

My Backyard Bald Eagles were perched in the tree by the water the morning of May 5th. I took this short clip of video before heading out the door to go to NBG.

Libby Mojica did the second presentation on Saturday morning: “Tracking the Bald Eagle: Lessons on Foraging, Roosting, and Nesting Through Satellite Telemetry.” It is broken down into four parts:

Chris...I know how much effort goes into recording then editing these videos and I'm so thankful you're posting these. Each of the symposium speakers was very interesting and had a lot to teach us. Reese's presentation was especially poignant for obvious reasons.

....I'm just sorry more didn't attend Jim Martin's presentation. He has an especially powerful message about the state of current and future conservation policy. I hope people take time to watch to your videos and hear his message.

Thanks Chris!!!

I've edited the first entry to include links to Libby's presentation. Next up is Ed Clark...

chris, your videos are always so superb! (i've seen the work you did for the release last summer, and for some other events, as well - to the point when i always wonder if you'll be at an event to do the video!)

thank you so much for recording them, then taking the time to edit them for us. your efforts are very appreciated!

hugggggs,
kali

I've just posted Jim Martin's presentation. This is the presentation that Ann mentioned above.

Sorry it's taking so long to get all of this video processed. It's just a lot of stuff! I've still got the moderated panel discussion (with Reese, Jim, and Ed), the new eagle people video and the video I shot during the two boat tours. So it's like eating an elephant -- one bite at a time!
