There is a point for 8-27 now. Looks like our girl is happy where she's at.

thanks Chris :D ...Libby reports good fishing in that area....sounds like a good place to hang out for a while...especially if you're an eagle.

Response from Libby Mojica to a question about the area Azalea has decided to call home for the time being with regard to eagle concentration. She also gave an update on adoptions :D
Libby Mojica wrote:

There is an active eagle nest in on that river about 1/4 mile away and several communal eagle roosts nearby. I checked the
seaturtle.org adoption numbers today and we've raised over $3100. Very impressive!

Very cool. Azalea will be the only animal to ever earn her keep! 8-)

AZ will ean her keep as a tracked eagle- wonder how many of the many others do.
There are so many animals being watched and the answers they give researchers are amazing.
Gotta love technology :)

The list shows 61 people have adopted her so far. :D I wish they had put transmitters on HK and HE too. They have transmitters on so many birds that have zero adoptions. Birds that have had their transmitter for a couple of years and no adoptions. Maybe next year (not to count chickens before they hatch) they will put transmitters on all of them... It doesn't make sense not to when this nest has such a huge following with so many people willing to adopt. I'm just saying... :)

It really bugs me that we may never know the answer to the question: Are they still hanging out together or are they heading toward different parts? Although with them leaving so many days apart, I'd wonder at what forces come into play if they did end up together. They wouldn't have gone as a flock, so it would have to have been something else... I'd love to know where HK and HE are. I'd say it was a missed opportunity...
